The Kingswood Story
Where Heritage, Quality & Hospitality Meet
Kingswood Tea Factory is more than a stop on a journey — it is a working expression of Sri Lanka’s tea heritage.
Built in a classic English colonial style, the factory operates with original British-made machinery maintained in working condition after more than a century. It is also home to a rare working Ruston engine, an engineering treasure connected to the factory’s heritage.
Today Kingswood brings tea manufacturing, tea tourism, accommodation, food and beverage, nature and guest experiences together in one Ramboda destination.

Chairman Madhawa Marasinghe leads the Kingswood, Kadugannawa and New Giragama tea factory network.
The group’s goal is to connect the tea industry with tourism and introduce visitors to the authentic story behind Ceylon Tea — while developing hospitality, food and beverage, and tourism partnerships.
